This weekend our focus was on our own Land of Legends Olympic Triathlon in the picturesque village of Omeath. We were blessed with perfect conditions in the swim and Mattie Kinkaid from Newry Triathlon Club was first out of the water and went on to lead from start to finish getting his name on the cup for the second time. Runner up was Conor Sheriff and third Robert Duncan. We had a new ladies winner with Kirsty Kee taking the honours after a great battle with Julia Van Coller from Setanta taking second place (and 8th overall) and last years winner Fiona Murphy rounding out the podium.
Other Setanta members to race were
15th Cillian Duffy
29th Gerry Kenny
44th Sarah Quinn
47th Aiden Kane
57th Jess Moorehead
75th Conor Smyth
106th Paul Black
A big thank you to Velo revolution for the overall prizes, Cycle Centre Dundalk for the relay prize, Sergeant David Kenny and his team, Omeath tidy towns, all the marshals and everyone who came to support our race!
